What is Turnitin?
Turnitin is an internet based hand in point for student assignments. It is often referred to as an 'online submission point' or 'e-submission point'. The software can be used to check error in referencing and highlight any acts of plagiarism.
How Can Turnitin Help Your Students?
By setting up submission points you are providing your students with a visual reminder with as many opportunities as possible to view their assignment due dates. Students can then use this information to help plan their time and improve their grades.
How Can Turnitin Help Teaching Staff?
By setting up submission points early on you can reduce your work load at the busiest times of year. The software also detects plagiarism which helps you easily identify referencing errors so that you can mark accordingly. There is also the section where you can set up 'Quick Marks' - preset commonly used comments - which will also aid in marking.
